Portugal beat Hungary
Hungary tried well in the start of the game. Richard Guzmics attempted a header from the center but the Portugal saved it. It happened only in the first 4th minute of the play.
In return, Christiano Ronaldo came up with right footed shot from long range on the left. However, the Hungary saved the shot from the center of the goal.
The game went on fire, when Portugal kept on attacking the opposite side. Ronaldo again came up for his side. He attempted a header from the center of the box misses to the right.
Then Danilo Pereira and Gelson Martin made their right foot shot, missed the target.
In the 30th minute of the play, the game met delay. Because Fabio Coentrao got injured. Eliseu replaced him.
Meanwhile Thomas Priskin of Hungary got red card for violent conduct.
Gergö Lovrencsics of Hungary made a right footed shot from the left side of the box. But it went too high. Hungary could not manage to hit the score here in 37th minute of the game.
Portugal made 4 more attack but got saved. Both the team scored 0-0 till the first half of the match.
However, second half changed the score of the match by 1-0. Portugal became successful in leading the score.
Christiano Ronaldo made a cross from the corner and Andre Silva with an attempt from very close range to the bottom right of the corner in 48th minute of the match.
Hungary made two more attempts later during the match but to no veil. However, Christiano Ronaldo got yellow card during 89th minute.
Portugal retained 73 percent of the ball possession throughout the match. Whereas, Hungary could only managed to make it 27 percent.
So, Portugal kept their dominance in the match.
As a result, Portugal earned 11 corner kicks against the Hungary side. The opponent side got only one corner of the game.
Hungary also displayed a bad game in the match, as they came out with 14 fouls and 4 yellow cards.
